Number of people:
50
After receiving distress calls from relatives, who inform us about 50 people abandoned in the village of Tychero in the Evros region in Greece, we call the border guard station and send an email to organistions such as Frontex as well as to UNHCR, Amnesty International and others to inform them about the case.
The location we received from the relatives indicates that the people are at the Tychero Border Guard Station.
However, when calling the Tychero Border Guard Station, the officers on duty tell us that they do not know anything about the group. Shortly after, the relatives lose contact with the people.
Around 19:00 CET, the relatives inform us that the group is being pushed back to Turkey, that they are at Edirne bus station on their way back to Istanbul.
We examined the footage the people took from the place they were detained and found similarities to previous visual
data of the border guard station in Tychero that was published by Forensic Architecture.
The travelers sent us the following videos from inside the Tychero Border Guard Station
